Blessing of the Blossoms at Minnesota Harvest

We are so excited to announce another apple season at Minnesota Harvest, under new management! K2 Management is none other than our very own innkeeper Kevin Knox, and former innkeeper (when Nicolin Mansion was known as the Nicolin Inn), Kevin Breeggemann!

They are kicking off the season with the Blessing of the Blossoms event on Sunday, May 22nd beginning at 2:00 p.m. Bring a picnic lunch and a blanket, and enjoy an afternoon of live music amongst the apple blossoms.

Kevin (Knox) was great friends with Topper Sponsel, and along with his family, this event is in honor of and in tribute to Topper! We are hoping for Topper’s spirit to be present amongst us as we bless the blossoms for a truly spectacular season at the orchard.

Update 5/23/11:

Thank you to everyone who participated and celebrated with us at the Blessing of the Blossoms. Our blessings go to those affected by the tornado that occurred as our event began, including Kevin Breeggemann’s brother in Golden Valley.

About TresaKnox

Owner/Innkeeper of Nicolin Mansion since 2003, I have had a lifelong passion for hospitality, decorating, and cooking. After honeymooning on Mackinac Island, my husband Kevin and I fell in love with B&Bs and began seeking them out for anniversary and birthday celebrations. We found mentors in New Ulm, created a list of features in the perfect building, and then fell in love with Jordan and the Nicolin Mansion. I should have started this years ago, as the process of restoring and creating our bed and breakfast would have been an interesting chronicle. We hope you enjoy the notes of an innkeeper's life and what one finds interesting, amusing, and noteworthy.
